Getting Started

  • Explore and Express Interest

    Review our pipeline options and complete the SkillBridge Interest Form.

  • Interview and Approval

    We'll set up an interview! Upon selection, you will receive an Approval Letter and Training Schedule for your command.

  • Secure Command Approval

    After receiving command approval, send us your signed approval form. Note: You cannot start without this form.

  • Onboarding and Communication

    Two weeks before your start date, we'll email you onboarding action items and stay in touch throughout the program.

Will I Get Time Off To Take Care Of My VA And Medical Appointments?

Yes. We know how important maintaining your Veterans Affairs and medical appointments are and we educate all of our Host companies on the immense impact these appointments can be to a successful transition.

When Should I Apply For A SkillBridge?

You can apply at any time; however, most successful SkillBridge candidates contact us within a year of their separation. This timeline provides ample time to prepare and complete the 6-month SkillBridge program effectively.

I completed my SkillBridge Interest Form, what's next?

Once you submit the Interest Form, you will receive an email outlining the next steps. However, you don’t have to wait for the email to get started on your credentials. Contact our support team at info@altitudecsi.org to learn more about available opportunities and get a head start.

As a Veteran, Is There a Fee for Me to Participate in a SkillBridge Program?

There are no fees associated with the SkillBridge program. However, Altitude offers additional programs that you can take advantage of using your credentialing assistance, should you be interested in furthering your education.
