Credential employers recognize

PMI calls the PMP the world's most widely held project certification. It turns "joint, cross-organization work" into words a civilian hiring manager already trusts.

⏱

Your Army time can count

PMI requires 36 / 48 / 60 months of project-leading experience (bachelor's / associate's / high school) in the last 10 years. If you led it, you can document it.

Live, not a video library

Real instructor, real-time questions, every Friday at 6:30am–10:30am PT. Log in from wherever the Army has you.

Built for JBLM

Joint Base Lewis-McChord stood up on February 1, 2010, when Fort Lewis and McChord Air Force Base merged. It's home to I Corps headquarters. Army and Air Force on one installation means you already work across organizations every day. That's stakeholder management, and it's on the PMP exam.

Where to go on post

West Coast advantage: the class is set for Eastern time, so at JBLM it runs 6:30am-10:30am Pacific. You can still put in most of a workday.
Education counseling: Stone Education Center, Building 6242, 6242 Colorado Ave. on Lewis-Main (253-967-7174). It's named for Maj. Gen. David L. Stone, who built Camp Lewis in 90 days during World War I. McChord Field has its own education center (253-982-5695).
Transitioning? The Hawk Career Center, Building 11577, 41st Division Drive on Lewis-North, houses TAP (253-967-3258) and hosts a hiring fair every Wednesday, 11am-1pm. Show up with a PMP in progress and you have something specific to talk about.
Arriving or leaving JBLM? Waller Hall, Building 2140, 2140 Liggett Ave., is the hub for in- and out-processing, transition services, and Armed Forces Community Service.

How does Army Credentialing Assistance work?

Army CA is a voluntary, off-duty program that can fund training and exams for industry-recognized credentials, and the credential doesn't have to match your MOS. Eligibility depends on your component, status and service obligation, and the Army updates the rules. Requests go through ArmyIgnitED and need chain-of-command approval plus a quote from the training provider.

The Jan 8 cohort is next. CA requests need lead time.

Sounds Too Good to be True

It does. And honestly its a risk I'm willing to take. I want to help 1,000 professionals this year get their PMP because I love watching people grow. If I have to do it at my own cost, so be it. My hope is that I gain your trust and you spread the word so I can help as many people as possible. -Ken Danos
